I Read Canadian Day

'I Read Canadian Day' - February 17, 2021

Thank you to everyone that participated in our 'I Read Canadian' activities. The lucky winners of our prizes have been contacted. If you're wondering how you did on the book scavenger hunts, check out the answers below.

About our 2021 'I Read Canadian Day' Activities
'I Read Canadian Day' is a national day to celebrate Canadian books, literature, and authors. The goal "is to raise awareness of Canadian books and celebrate the richness, diversity and breadth of Canadian literature." Learn more about the national initiative at ireadcanadian.com/day/.

To celebrate, we've put together these fun book scavenger hunts to let you test your knowledge of Canadian literature and enter for a chance to win a great prize. There's a book scavenger hunt just for adults or one for the whole family to work on together. Put on your Canadian thinking hat, grab a pen, and get started by clicking on one of the scavenger hunts below. If you can't print out the scavenger hunts, we've got hard copies available for pick-up at your closest branch - just ask for one to be included in your curbside pick-up order.

When you've completed your scavenger hunt, scan or take a picture of your completed form and email it to programs@sdglibrary.ca. We'll enter your name into our draw. Our contest deadline has been extended! Contest runs from Saturday, February 13 until Wednesday, February 25, 2021

If you need some help along your search, use our online catalogue! And remember, all books were written or illustrated by a Canadian!
