May is May-ker month, a perfect opportunity to "create" at SDG Library.
What is May-ker month you ask? It is a dedicated month of activities and programs presented by the MakerLab. Located within our Finch Branch, the MakerLab is a creative hub, home to a wide array of equipment and technology to promote creativity and spark imagination. Whether it’s 3D printing, sublimation printing, die cutting, laser engraving, or button making, the possibilities are endless!
The MakerLab will be running a workshop every week in May, each program will feature how to use a particular piece of equipment in the MakerLab to craft a one-of-a-kind piece created by you! The best part? You don’t have to be an expert — just curious.
There will be two (2) sessions offered for each program, links below provide information for both sessions:
May-ker Month: Greeting Cards with Cricut (session 1)
May-ker Month: Learn to design your own 3D print using TinkerCAD (session 1)
May-ker Month: Faux-leather keychain (session 1)
May-ker Month: Sublimation Totes (session 1)
If you would like to see everything in action, pop in during our open house to learn more about what is possible at the MakerLab.
