Say hello to our newest addition: Phonics Learning Kits! Phonics Learning Kits can help children become aware of sounds within words and provide them with an opportunity to map those sounds to letters. The process makes an abstract idea more concrete and fun as children learn to build more and more words.
Each kit contains a variety of books and activities to help children develop phonics skills. Many are themed around crowd-favorite characters such as Pete the Cat, Marvel, Pinkalicious, PJ Masks, Angelina Ballerina, and PAW Patrol, so your little ones will be excited to learn alongside their favorite fictional friends. Here are a few things to keep in mind when borrowing a Phonics Learning Kit:
- If an item is checked out, please place a hold, or ask a staff member to help you.
- Please return items to the circulation desk, and not in the book drop.
- Items are loaned for three weeks. They can be renewed if there are no hold requests from other patrons.
- Only one kit can be borrowed at a time.
