Learning a new language can be tough, but very rewarding. Whether it's to enhance our resumes or to pursue a personal interest, knowing more than one language opens many doors. It can take a lot of effort and practice, but the Library can help you get started with our selection of instructional books, audiobooks, and DVDs.

 

Learn languages online with Mango Languages

Choose courses in over 70 different languages with this online language learning system. You can learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Polish, German, Mandarin or Cantonese Chinese, Greek, Italian, Ukrainian, and more.

You can learn English from 20 native languages. Specialty courses are available. You can create an account and track your progress, or use it with guest access. Mango uses real life situations and conversations to teach new language, so you will gain practical knowledge of the vocabulary. Basic and in-depth courses are available.

Getting started

Go to the Mango Languages login page. If you are offsite, you will "Sign Up" and enter your email address, library barcode and create a password. Mango Languages will ask you to consent to their data collection policy. Browse or search for the language you wish to learn.

Download the app

Before downloading the app you will need to login to Mango through your web browser and create an account. Download the app for IOS or Android. Select "Already have a profile" and login at the bottom of the screen. Enter your email and password that you created while using the web browser.
