Library Services Update
With the current State of Emergency announcement from the provincial government, the Library will continue to follow all health and safety orders to provide safe, curbside pick-up service to our communities. There is no public access to our branches at this time and the hours of operation may be changed during this time. Current hours of operation can be found at sdglibrary.ca/current-hours-locations#branches-location.
Physical library materials can be requested and picked up at your preferred branch. Holds can be placed online using your Library account at sdglibrary.bibliocommons.com or by contacting staff by phone or email. When you are notified your items are ready, contact your branch to arrange pick-up. Please have your Library card with you when you come to pick-up your items.
If you’re returning items, please place them in the book returns outside the branch. Please note, returned items are quarantined for a period of time prior to being checked in. Items will remain on your account until this quarantine period is over. If you have returned an item and it is still on your account, please wait a week before following up with Library staff. No overdues will be charged.
The safety of our staff and the public is very important to us. If you’re feeling unwell, please postpone your visit. All instructions, advice and orders provided by the province and the health unit must be followed when accessing Library Services. Face coverings are required when picking up your Library materials.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates as they are available.
