At this time SDG Library services and programs are operating as scheduled as we continue to closely monitor the developing COVID-19 situation to determine measures we will need to take in response.
Surfaces and equipment at all SDG Library branch locations are regularly cleaned and disinfected. Also, hand sanitizer is available to staff and patrons, and we encourage frequent hand-washing.
We take our lead from the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (eohu.ca), the Public Health Agency of Canada (canada.ca/en/public-health.html) and the Government of Ontario (ontario.ca) with respect to some decisions related to library operations during a health emergency.
Any changes to library services will be posted on our website (sdglibrary.ca) and our social media channels.
If you can’t visit a library branch, we encourage you to make use of the great selection of online library resources that you may use from home for free with your SDG Library card.
Thank you for your patience as we work with staff and stakeholders through this developing situation. As always, our staff are here to help you find reliable information and resources. Please call your local branch, or our administrative line (613-936-8777), or send an email (info@sdglibrary.ca) with your questions.
Thank-you.
