FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Graphic Novel Month at SD&G County Library
April 12, 2016
This April, the SD&G County Library is celebrating graphic novels! Throughout the month, the Library will be offering programs, displays and contests to help build awareness of this increasingly popular reading format.
Graphic novels use drawings and text to tell stories, most commonly referred to as comic books. More and more, these books are both works of art and exceptional literary contributions. And the topics covered continue to grow, including stories of both fiction and non-fiction.
April is a great time to come into the Library and check out our collection of graphic novels. We’ve got lots to choose from, from award winners and popular series to debut authors. If you’re new to the format, our Library staff would be happy to help you find the right title to get you started.
As well, Library patrons can enter their name in a draw for every graphic novel they borrow between now and April 18th. Nine prizes are available, including passes to the Cornwall and Area Pop Event (CAPE) and gift certificates for Fantasy Realm.
