Jan 31, 2017

Online learning has become a wildly popular platform. Primarily due to the flexibility, but it also gives a unique opportunity to learn from the best in the world while in the comfort of your own home.

The SD&G County Library is excited to announce the release of Lynda.com. Lynda.com is an online education platform offering video courses taught by industry experts. Starting today SD&G County Library cardholders can gain unlimited access to thousands of industry-leading video tutorials on everything from graphic design, education, photography, videography, job preparation, software and computer skills, marketing, business skills, management techniques, and more! Lynda.com is ideal for small businesses and start-ups, aspiring or professional artists and graphic designers, videographers, information technology professionals, students, job seekers, or those needing just a few extra tutorials with technology and software.

“The Library is committed to providing life-long education opportunities to all citizens of SD&G.”, says Nicholas Seguin, Communications & Marketing Coordinator. “The SD&G County Library extends beyond the bricks and mortar of our fifteen branches. Giving access to Lynda.com is a brilliant example of our mission statement: Connect. Create. Explore.”

Normally a paid-subscription service, SD&G County Library members now have full access to Lynda.com by logging in with just their library cards. You can access Lynda.com at home or anywhere there is an internet connection, including one of the many public computer stations at your local branch.
