Off the Shelf Library News - June 2016

The arrival of spring has brought with it a renewed appreciation for little pleasures (anyone else eager to enjoy a good book on the deck?). Although the library is a perfect place of refuge from winter’s bitter cold, it is also the ideal location to frequent when preparing for all those wonderful springtime activities.

From gardening to landscaping, golfing to spring cleaning, libraries have more than enough resources to help you with that perfect spring project. Whether you’re hoping to start that fitness regime (again!) or learn a few tips on how to perfect that soccer kick, the SD&G County Library has what you need – and if we don’t, we’ll do our best to get it for you!

The Library also has a wide range of springtime programs and activities that are sure to help awaken and develop those skills that may have gotten a little rusty over the long winter months. Not to mention we offer opportunities to clear the cobwebs off those eReaders your kids got you for Christmas, with regularly scheduled tech tutorials at some of our branches (it’s okay, we won’t tell them you haven’t used it yet).

Whatever it is you’re hoping to accomplish this spring, rest assured that we’ve got the perfect book (or DVD, or audiobook, or program, or training session) for you! Contact your local branch for more information or visit us online at www.sdglibrary.ca.
