Read for 15 SDG
Way to go, SDG! Our 2021 'Read for 15 SDG' Challenge was a huge success despite being during a provincewide lockdown! In total, 334 participants officially took the challenge, which equals over 5,010 minutes of reading time! We can't wait to do it again in 2022!
About the 2020 Challenge
The 'Read for 15 SDG' Challenge is back! On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, we encourage everyone to read for 15 minutes in celebration of Family Literacy Day.
It's easy to participate, simply:
- Read anything you want - a book, a magazine, an essay, recipes, online articles, a cereal box - anything!
- Tell us you read by posting on social media using the hashtag #ReadFor15SDG or email programs@sdglibrary.ca
- Challenge your friends and family to participate too!
Read together or read on your own - just don't forget to read!
Even better, every participant will be entered into our draw to win a set of SDG Library "READ" mugs.
The 'Read for 15 SDG' challenge is a fun and easy way to support literacy in our communities. Literacy is a key part of children's development - taking the time to read together helps improve literacy skills for the whole family.
