Yellow Cedar

Forest of Reading - Yellow Cedar Award

NonFiction | Ages 9-14 | Grades 4-8

Join the Yellow Cedar program and discover more about the world around us. From protecting wildlife and what makes something popular, to exploring outer space and understanding stress - the Yellow Cedar program covers a range of interesting topics.

Participating is easy! Simply register for the Yellow Cedar program and start reading any of the ten nonfiction titles on the list! In addition, we'll send you a Yellow Cedar reading kit filled with fun activities to complete as you read each of the books. For every book you read and activity you complete, you'll be eligible to enter a ballot to win our Yellow Cedar prize. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with other readers through two virtual meet ups, one in March and one in April. And that's all it takes!

Important Information
The program runs March until April. Voting for your favourite title/author will take place in April.
